Given deaths classified x last birthday on 1 Jan prior to death and corresponding censuses on 1 July 1997, 31 December 1997 and 31 December 1998.

What is the average age at death?

How do you work out the central exposure of risk? And if you wanted to work out the initial exposure to risk, would you add (3/4)dx to the central exposure to risk?
